About Us

The Em Effect was established in honour of the late Emily Jane Smith, who very sadly passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2019 at the age of 30. Emily had an extremely gentle, positive, loving and caring nature and would always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was adored by all and undoubtedly had an incredibly positive effect on the lives of everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Through The Em Effect, we aim to empower Emily to continue to have that positive effect on the lives many more people by raising both awareness and funds to support blood cancer treatment research and support in Australia.

All proceeds raised through our organised fundraising events, merchandise sales or any direct donations received are directly donated to one of the charities and causes that The Em Effect supports in the name of the late Emily Smith.
