About Us

The Em Effect was established in honour of the late Emily Jane Smith, who very sadly passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2019 at the age of 30. Emily had an extremely gentle, positive, loving and caring nature and had an incredibly positive effect on the lives of everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Through The Em Effect, we aim to empower Emily to continue to have that positive effect on the lives of many more people by raising both awareness and funds to support blood cancer treatment research and support in Australia.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness for and help contribute to accelerating the research aimed at improving both the treatment options available and the lives of patients living with any kind of blood cancer, in particular lymphoma.
